What is your position regarding the right to privacy of famous people?
It should be held to the same protection as everyone else....why not?
It depends but the tabloid scrutiny is too much.
When they are on a red carpet or at a press junket working, then they should be press friendly. If they are "off the clock" and out with their family, it should be hands off. Let them lead a normal life.
Well, I think the famous people should first of all acknowledge the fact that with fame comes trouble and a lot of responsibility. Their life is wanted, is craved for and wished to be devoured by millions of people.
That being said, at the end of the day they too are only humans, so they should be treated with respect by the press, especially by the yellow one.
Everyone's right to privacy should be protected. Although there is a fine line between private and public among famous people, their private time should be respected.

Support it 100%. Famous people are people. To everything there's its time and place.
I believe that EVERYONE as a human being whomever they are, celebrity or not, has a right to their own privacy. Acting, Singing, Anchoring, reporting TV News, or Hosting a show, etc. are all jobs people choose because of the Love they have for their profession, and the individuals in these professions are to be respected. However, if you are an 'elected' official and you are getting paid with people's tax money then you are open to a different type of scrutiny.
When you decide to become a public figure who earns from taxpayers, I believe the taxpayers have the right to to know everything about you that may involve their hard earned cash
I support adequate privacy for everyone.
a minha opinião é - os famosos só tém privacidade quando eles estão em locais fechados ao publico, porque é obvio que quando eles saem às ruas os fãs vão querer uma foto ou um autografo, isso é totalmente normal, e os famosos adoram ser o centro das atenções, eles sabem que o preço da fama é a falta de privacidade.
Everyone is entitled to privacy. How would you feel if a paparazzi was following you around at 2 a.m in the morning when you go to the pharmacy to buy some cold medicine and sugary food? Would you like to see the next morning in the paper pictures of you having an intimate moment with your significant other, or your children? Celebrities are people too. Even though they are subject to the scrutiny of the masses for the things they do, they deserve some 'me' time, and we (as members of the press, or as the public) have to respect that. |
