What advice would you give to someone starting out in the business?
Watch out for those that bite you when your back is turned. Recently someone that I thought was an allie turned out to be an enemy. A sickening feeling. Also, be sure to enjoy every moment in the business you love because you never know if it may be your last. Rock hard!
Watch your step and do not believe anyone other than you.
Be persistent and consistent. Be yourself, and believe in your ability to use your God given talent to make a living. Never give up, never stop working.
Do it because you love it and not for money
This is a tough business to get into i would use what i call the three p"s First be Patience that big break may not come over night the things you see on really TV can be very misleading because for everyone that makes it a thousand more are still trying next you may get turn down a hundred times it only takes one to say yes and pray that God open doors and give you the patience to wait if they don't open up right away and know your music and keep an open mine sometimes it is ok to rewrite.
Give 100 percent don't let anyone deter you from your goals.
Learn to know yourself and your skills and use them right.
The music industry is a marathon, not a sprint. Be prepared to get your hands dirty.
The best thing is to let the customers make you start not you just starting because sometimes you can end up hurting yourself especially with music businesses
Lets just stay focus and be determined
YOU NEED A FOUNDATION
Stay true to your art, not everyone is going to like you the ONLY important thing to keep in mind is that YOU have to LIKE YOU! Tenacity is the only thing that is going make your star shine bright in the music world of a gazillion stars all trying to get the same brightness all at the same time.
