How do you sell yourself? What has been your experience with record companies and representatives?

I don't have to sell myself. I let the fans, studio and my manager do that for me. Plus right now I can't tour like they want. So I am limited on what I can do. I would much rather be in the studio working on my stuff or with a band anyway. My love and passion is in the studio.

I have not really had much. I have met a few tho. Seemed nice enough to me. It is a tricky business. It is always a tricky thing when something creative becomes something of commerce.
well i dont sell myself my talent and rep sell me enough where i don't have to tap dance sometimes i do but i have a rep for knowing my shit and being on my game and focused when i met clive davis when he 1st started j records he said he loved what i did what i wrote and asked me what inspired me when i gave him the answer my hood he liked me i didnt kiss ass and from there not only did he like me but he gave me a deal for my girl group which i had to put together b4 our next meeting then with arista they l.a reid and jermaine dupri the talent sold itself
To make a long, boring story short: I let the music sell itself. The music is, and should be bigger than the artist (even though it might seem cynical in the world of branding).
