How do you sell yourself? What has been your experience with record companies and representatives?

things with "representatives" is going well! i got this guy in Germany uploading my stuff on youtube and spreading word. I love my record label, Limbic Records...everyone rocks! except Sterling, he smells.

I do sell my self privately , Is A distribution company that put my finished song all around the world digitally more the 200 digital shop , and they took only 15% of sale, some record company they take , take , take, so better do your own way , you make one hit single , you are done for life, soon or later will happen , keep trying and never give up .

I just be Kirk Wells. I have dealt with Labels and managers in the Music Business often, I'm open minded and have more good experience than bad currently.

I sing what all ages will want to hear and I try to give positive mesdsages in ALL my music.

They just offer me promises. I promote my work just through internet.

I actually only had dealings with record companies twice, one I never saw any money, but it was a small label doing it for the love of music and barely hanging there, so I am not too bothered about it. The other was a record company that kind of lost interest and dissolved it self... That always has a bit of a knock on effect. I have been involved in two labels run by the band for the band. It is really hard work, so I do understand the small labels much better. But yeah, I think people spend too much time dreaming about getting signed, where as they could do it them selves...

I have no expireince I jus be me

I basically just show them the real me, if they don't like it then there's probably someone out there that will like what they see. I can't suck up to people, it's not in my nature.

sell my music to promoters, an shows

We are not in the selling stages yet, we are still in the writing phase. When we do get to the selling stage I am hoping that the music will do the talking for us. We are a democratic band and all offers will be discussed with all band members before any decisions are made.

I don't sell myself.I have one album

I never really sold myself necessarily. I just showed them my work and they hit me up like hey! lol

you have to work at it and keep getting your music and profile out there. Accept rejections as being another step closer to the next acceptance.

Thats a tough thing for an artist like me because the competition out there is tough and of course I have tried to sell myself but sometimes you get know response at all, that is why I came up with a Self recording project

Ive worked with record companies and some have been fantastic.. others shouldnt bother and some I wonder just how they get their trousers on in the morning! Its the bedroom Hitlers you should look out for! The ones with out the guts to get out there and play, but seem to think they know every fucking thing! Watch out for them.. be afraid.. be very fucking afraid.
