How do you sell yourself? What has been your experience with record companies and representatives?
The record industry is a difficult place to navigate. I send out emails and do a lot of internet marketing.
I don't, it's lame. Music speaks for itself.
I don't. I openly admit I have a lot to learn and don't want to advertise myself as a professional, as I am not.

You tell me
I sell myself by being myself. Sometimes there can be companies that don't understand the aspect of being an artist. You have to find the labels and reps that connect with your own uniqueness
I just promote my stuff over the net an give out CDs an also broadcast my stuff over Blackberry messenger I ant never been signed or had contact with representatives about my work
Not so much has been done in that aspect tho I've had a couple of offers from record labels and would work on it in the near future

My productions and my previous work speak for themselves. My time will come. You can't rush it. I don't like messing around with record companies. I fuck with a couple a&r reps though. When I was like 13 this company wanted to sign me (talent 2k). Did some research and basically figured out they wanted to make a bunch of money off of me and give me basically nothing. Fuck that.
I am a very relational person. I don't strive to "sell myself" because this just sounds like prostituting my soul. I don't need my music to hit it big to know that my gift has value. It's not that I don't expect to make it in this industry. I'm just happy that I get to create great art with great people! I do what I love and get to be with people I love. Who wouldn't wanna do that?

Not bad, but now I'm looking to push and release independently
We promote ourselves quite well, we also have a great label boss that looks after us.
