What should be done to stop piracy?
Stop free download sites! Make music a little easier to afford!
nothing can b done
Make music that people WANT to pay for...
I think the only thing they can do is eliminate all of these file sharing websites but other than that I don't see a real way to stop piracy at all.
turn back the time when there's no devices to produce pirate stuffs !!!!
This is a real tough answer. That's almost like trying to stop the sun from shining, you dig. It starts with the consumer, support your artists, before them and their music disappears! What would we do without music in our lives? Marinate on that ya'll! I support fellow artists by buying their legit albums and atleast put some money in their pocket for my appreciation as music lover. The fans and consumers have to realize this and it starts with them. You're always going to have your hustlers who are gonna find ways to get income, so you'll always have bootleggers in a way. Another culprit (& not talked about enough) is the studio workers or staff or even the own artist's crew member, who gets or steals the studio work & sells or releases it for money to the internet & others. This is actually where it all begins. I don't illegally download albums, but if I'm emailed a link from the company or promoter, I'll check out the album to see if I like it. If I like it, I'll ALWAYS go out and support that artist! Hard to find songs or songs left off of the album is another story (especially if you've heard the song & it's in your head). | | |
Have a virus that crashes ur comp!! lol...j/k. Support your artists!! go BUY their album!
Make music that make people wanna buy it
Stop anything that does it
Nothing. If you make music for love then it doesn't matter how anyone gets your music. As long as they get it!
I don't make a big deal about piracy. If people feel that taking money from me to pay for an extra Big Mac helps them sleep better than they need it more than me. Because you know what? As long as they can steal they will find a way. No matter what we do they will find away around it. I am sorry the Security Consultant side of me says do a little to stop it, but I am not going to go nuts. I am not going to sue them. Because really if they enjoy it and pass it on maybe someone else will buy my music. I write music for me. I think it is great people enjoy it and listen. If they have a moment and connect with my music I did my job. Should I get paid? Sure if they can afford it. Plus yes I have to eat also. But I think the number of people committing piracy is not enough to justify the cost for me. Maybe one day that will change.
Buy the Original and stop all things that have been made to pirate music etc.
Make sure songs don't leak & when they do in web-sites report them quickly, having a team making sure the songs aren't display in programs or sites that aren't allowed to publish them.
Nothing at all.... Piracy has been "killing music" since tape decks in the 60's but it's not really made a difference apart from keeping the costs of music down to the consumer.. which is a good thing.
