music is art, shouldn't be a product to be sold, so should be free. Music industry should focus in events and merch, but the music itself shouldn't be sold
Don't stop piracy. Piracy is good for the promotion. When you're famous enough to ignore such a positive phenomena as free promotion, you should shut the fuck up, cause you'll probably have enough money.
They should make cd's to write music on more expensive though and donate that to the artists.

One I think it should be that cd prices shouldn't be so freaking high, but yet again being an artist, I understand why they are. Artists don't make much off cd prices. They make more off merch and tours. But I think make the music harder to get from download sites possibly?
Companies seem slow to acknowledge technology and go with it. Share music through platforms but don't allow permanent downloads (more "on demand" then)if you can't stop the copying.
Well, that's a difficult question to answer. I do not have all the answers, but downloading is here to stay. Some people who download do so because they resent the major labels. They resent the inflated prices and they resent the quality of the music. I have had the opportunity to ask many of the people who do-- R&D. Then there are the large Internet companies who don't pull down illegal content, because they are only concerned with advertising dollars. I could say courts should sue people, but that would be hundreds of millions of people-- globally. I think the best thing that can be done is to create good music and market it to people who will buy. That may sounds simplistic, but I believe that... .
