How do you feel right before going out on stage?
Nervous as FUCK but excited at the same time because I love being on stage and playing in front of people.
usually nervous, but of widely varying degrees. It's not debilitating.
Full of energy
Relaxed, energy-high.
Horribly afraid.
I feel a little flushed and just a tiny bit nervous, but mostly I feel AMAZING. It is the best feeling in the world.

Lately, I feel clear headed, nervous, and humbled.
When I was in school I always felt horrible, sick, and scared; but I think that is because I never felt prepared.
In the last few years I have grown a lot as a musician from practicing in a way that allows me to understand the music I am playing on a deep level (like how it is put together, what the harmonic and rhtyhmic structures are doing, what the form is etc.) If I understand the music, than in general the technique takes care of itself and my job on stage is easy--I just go out and communicate what is cool about what I am playing.
I think I realized the importance of this from writing my own music and wanting to really communicate something I owned.

Nervous as can be, still to this day. The day that stops, I'll stop.
I feel excited, especially if there's a big crowd. I do music for the fans as well as myself. I think of myself in my fans' shoes. They came to see a show. Sometimes, I get nervous in front of certain types of crowds. Mostly crowds that don't particularly like the Hip Hop genre. Amazingly, those are my best crowds.
