How often do you practice?
nearly every day i guess
Now, only once or twice a month with the band, because there are many miles between us.
But i practice every day alone!
I never practice my self. I practice with a band once a week - thats all. When I am in the studio recording tracks i practice when I am recording... But that is not what people understand about practice : )
I dont practise much , well maybe thats what i think... but i pick up my pad everytime i get the chance to.

Okay, practice is what each of the band members do on their time. Rehearsal is what one does on Band Time...Band rehearsals are twice weekly. Usually 3 to 4 hours of which 15 to 30 minutes is break time respectively. No Shows are bidded on without near perfect closed door rehearsals...
We rehearse every day for about one week, after that we usually perform 5 concerts.
I usually produce a new track every month but recently I've been knocking them out pretty rapidly!
Like I said before I'm in school so my practice time is limited. For the most part I'm usally writing down my rhymes whenever I get an idea.
As often as it's possible! When I don't talk I sing! My neighbours are not happy for it that much ;-)
No where near as often as I should! I was told you should practice 8 hours a day to be a professional musician. That takes the fun away though. If I feel like playing for 8 hours, I do. If I don't feel like playing for 8 weeks, I don't. On the other hand, I create music at least once a week.
Sometimes I go weeks without touching my guitar or singing. Sometimes I spend hours a day, rehearsing. It depends on what my current life challenges are. When resources are low, or there is something happening in my life that is more stressful than normal, I tend to focus on that, instead of my creative work. I always come back, though. And usually it only takes a few minutes to find my groove again. |
