Song structure should be simple. Anything over 4 minutes is probably too long.
I wrote the lyrics, and compose the guitar sections. Then I show my bandmates, and they suggest something if any, or if they like, we start to rehearse the song.

We're always afraid of overworking a song. Somehow, you just know when a song is done. It kind of talks to you and says, "I don't need anything else." It stands on its own. It stands apart from you, even though you created it. You have to wait until it says it's done. But once you hear it, you just know. There's no other way to really describe it.
When It flows with clarity and there are no glitches in it!
With music, you would think that its all about 100% listening but the feel of a good record will give you the same equal amount of emotion to decide on the completion to the record.
