When did you realise that making music could be a way of life for you?
after hearing BIGGIE "Ready To Die"
Only recently!!! I've always been promising that I'll get a real job when I grow up! and it's only in the past couple of years that I've finally given in and said, well this is what I do, too late to change now.
I 1st realised that,when i came 1st at a song contest in 2005.
I studied to be an actor in musical theater and soon discovered that actors starved. On the other hand the musicians seemed to not only make more money but have many more options open to them so I switched to full time music.
I met the Squirrel Nut Zippers in Las Vegas in 2007. A few of them have since become friends of mine and are wonderful people. I think seeing how they did what they did was the major inspiration for bagging law school and deciding to pursue music.
with association and watching other musician's that have astablished a name, which working hard and daily practice was the key to granting the effords on publicity, although having in mind to follow my parents footsteps/pattern in the music industry with live entertainment,i found it to be a little more profitable taking the marketing route of engineering and private recordings. http://twitter.com/#!/activity
Well when the Beatles were about got into it with a few friends gigging around pubs then Sue came around and blew my mind
When I realised it was essential to my day to day life. If you live and breathe something like I do with Music it becomes impossible to give up. Fortunately I developed a talent for it and I refuse to stop working hard at what I believe in, so it's become my way of life and I can't imagine being without it.
When I first heard my band's song on the radio.
It was probably after I picked up the guitar when I was 16 and played our first show. The amount of attention from girls was probably the deciding factor ;)
The second I realized I could feel and express that with song, and do that very well. When I realized that I realized I could conquer the world with my sound.
I can pinpoint the moment in my mind; it was a sunny friday morning of March 09 and I was sitting in my AS music class. I have no idea why, but the idea came into my head "the world needs you to play music". Strange thought to have. But I thought "yeah, ok" and now I'm dedicating my life to music and its beauty.
When I heard the jazz flutist Herbie Mann live and started the flute soon after, at age 11.
I think by the time I quit school at the beginning of 10th grade (I didn't do much but play my old strat by this time) I knew doing something else was a non-starter for me.
I believe i can do it. |
