What was your musical education?
I did music classes and a few plays all through school
The Streets
I am singer
As far as music production goes, what I know is what I taught myself. I was in choir for 8 years.
I have not had much formal education in music theory other than at school in my early teens.
None,just started playing by ear.
like I said, mother put me on the piano when I was about 6 or so.. didn't get on with it, didn't like being forced to practice. My head master gave me my first guitar lessons but I ended up teaching him! I had Violin and Cello lessons for a while too, but everything else Ive learnt myself. All of the music teachers at my school were hopeless cretins who looked after their favorites and the ones who would conform. I was neither and was always treated as an outcast.. funny eh? Im the one earning a few bob playing music and they all ended up working on the check outs or something. funny how life works out isn't it!

Left-handed, I learnt to play guitar by myself.
After some years I met others musicians and I learnt a lot with them,
while playing some live shows.
As already mentioned before, I started learning playing instruments, singing and music theory at the local music school. That was, besides my talent, the basis for everything. |
