self taught pretty much
my sister took lessons, other then that everything i learned was on my own or from others who played piano, i remember i used to listen to the radio and mimic the songs i heard on my casio
i never attended any musical school
Berklee School Of Music- Boston, MA USA
Point Blank Academy- London
I started on piano, and school choirs, took up the clarinet, absorbed everything going on around me, started going to gigs. Joined a band when I went to art school, and when we were auditioning bass players picked up a bass and started playing it. The rest is history!
Listening to some of the most amazing music from all over the globe via my father's record player, one breathing cassette tape by Tonya De Brett and teaching myself everything else.
Secondary school and my own lessons. But my siblings were the biggest education.
Alone
I mostly sang in school, I was not into rap yet; one of my favorite songs to sing was Phatom on the Opera. I also had a little experience with playing insturments as well.
self taught play by ear
Many in the group have classical education - though much of the music we play is by ear and feel.
