How did you begin making music? Who introduced you?
Hard to be specific, since it began in earliest childhood. My first appearances began at age eight (television) and at age 12 (stage). I suppose my grade-school choir singing and the piano my father took in as payment on a bad debt when I was seven contributed to my career. However, the strongest credit should go to my mother, who bought my first trombone when I was in sixth grade, and my uncle Joe, who gave me my first professional dance band introduction when I was fifteen. Uncle Joe and the band he created (The Brothers Three) were my main springboard.
I began writing songs purely as an experiment, just to find out if I could do it. Gradually I realized that it was a lot more fun, and that I could express myself in ways I hadn't imagined through my music.
I began making music at the age of 16 i am currently 19 now going on 20. i use to listen to many major artist such as bone thugs n harmony where i develop my own style but have the same rapid pace that they have. i just put my mind to it and now im trying to make a living with it which i will very soon! and also i really was introduce by my ex group Heatsquad and also a label called Dirty Dade Ent.
Years ago, I made a start with a small Yamaha keyboard. I created and recorded melodies. In 2000 - 2001, I bought MTV Music Generator and began to publish, first through CD Baby, then online. My next move will be to a larger keyboard.
When I was 11 I took lessons from "Miss Moss" who was very impatient with me. Of course I had only a cardboard keyboard, until my dad said to my sister & I you're not getting anywhere with this, so we'll just stop. My sister said ok and I cried, so dad told me if I wanted to continue that bad he would go get the $15 piano we had at the mountain hour and my mom got me with with the best teacher in town. Then after taking lessons for about 1 year, my dad said I had to play for church and if I didn't use my talent for the Lord he wouldn't pay for my lessons. So....I practiced hymns all summer (the hardest type music to play). I cried the first time I played at church and the little white haired lady in the Seniors Sunday School class came up to me and said I did so well. Through tears I said, "you didn't hear my mistakes?" She said "what mistakes?" I thought well maybe I could continue to play if it wasn't too bad or the little lady was deaf! ha
I was just inspired by Avril Lavigne, her talent as a singer-song writer and an artist of knowing different type of instruments by learning herself.I was also inspired by the Miss Independant, Kelly Clarkson of her strong vocals and her personality.
I was forced into music at a young age by my parents. My older sister had been playing piano since before I can remember, so when I was forced to play I strived to be as good as her. My piano skills are still fairly poor, but I began playing guitar a few years later and it quickly become my main instrument.
I began making music in high school. I'd use my dad's computer and basic midi freeware to make arrangements and then record my guitar over them. haha, the early stuff was a cross between Depeche Mode and Deftones or Soft Cell and Slipknot. It wasn't until 2006, with the release of "If I'm not a ghost...," that I developed my signature sound.
I introduced myself. I was forced into piano lessons at a young age, and later given an acoustic guitar. I was always more interested in creating my own sounds rather than those by others. In high school, I began using basic midi software on my father's computer to write arrangements and record my guitar playing. It evolved from there with the addition of better equipment, and in college where I'd rather write music that anything else.
4th grade, a music lover since birth.
Came across a digital audio workstation cd rom in the 4th grade, and the game cds were replaced with samples, effects and more
I was "adopted" by the family down the block who lives and breaths music. I began playing the piano and moved on to the more noisy drums at age 10. I began writing songs w/ my bestfriend (from the aforementioned family) at 7 years old.
At the tender age of three I was placed on a piano and sang in front of audiences. My parenHow did you begin making music? My parents enrolled me in the love of music. I have sang in concerts as a soloist and in pagents and musicals as the lead singer
I began making music when I was in 2nd year High School. That was the time i learned to play the guitar. My uncle taught me about Music and its importance, and It's all downhill from there. :)
listening to old records
my cousin, malice. I've always had an obsession listening to it, figured I got good taste choosing I'll have good taste in wording my own lyrics.
My mom was a fan of Elvis Presley and Creedence Clearwater Revival. I always heard plain, simple, straight forward Rock 'n' Roll music in my home.
It was when I was about eleven years old, I was at a wedding reception and became fascinated with the drummer in the band. He must've noticed me watching him; because when they were through he gave me his sticks. The rest, as they say, is history. |
