I am a solo artist, but do on occasion work with other local artists on projects. As far songwriting and music production, I am a one man show. I prefer mostly to work alone unless I have something special planned for a piece and I have someone already in mind.
I do both: symphonic orchestra, big bands, small groups, and alone as a piano player. While living in Puerto Rico, I have been a conductor for 4 years with my own quartet at the San Jeronimo Hilton Hotel, and also for 7 years with a 12 piece band at the Puerto Rico Sheraton Hotel, conducting nightly big name artists shows. While in Santo Domingo, I have had my own 4 piece jazz group, playing at the Hotel Santo Domingo, Casa de Teatro, Emilio Gourmet Restaurant, La Briciola Restaurant, and other places.

When I teach, it's typically in private sessions, although I occasionally handle groups and have done quite a few workshops.
When I perform, it depends upon the venue. I'll play a solo show or bring in anywhere from one to five other musicians to accompany me.
The business end of my work is handled by myself and two other people. We handle all the booking, promoting and production for my Indie label.

I work alone. I don't really like the whole group thing because I can see there being many problems and when there's a group and you get a group bond, then once one member leaves it could ruin your whole life. I plan to make music my career and I wouldn't want my career to rest in any one else's hands by being in a group. Sure I've worked and networked with many artists but to join as a group, I'll pass on that.
Musically, yes I'm a solo Artist right now. But i do have my manager name Jerry, who takes care of all the business aspect.
