MARKETING

Be a prophet. What phenomenon will revolutionize marketing in the next few years?

Whohub

DIY. Increased environmental awareness & action. A return to product specs. The rise and rise of mandatory labeling (and the dominance of marketers who can do that in interesting, fun or otherwise creative ways).

The future of branding is content marketing. The consumer shops differently then he/she did 10 years ago. Now, over 88% of purchases involve some form of search. If you do not focus on the organic search content of your brand, it will impact your bottom line. It's that simple.

the integration of social media and smart phone apps where everything will,be instant

Mobile marketing on all kinds of devices.

In the next few years, the customers will become the media makers. They will (though collaboration) design the logos and redesign the websites of their favorite brands. They will tell chefs what they want on the menu, and tell retail stores what colors to pick for the season. They will be the models in magazines and niche blogs will become syndicated by major publishers instead of re-inventing the wheel.

Content CURation (not CREation) will become the new bubble, because with so much content people will need better ways to organize and digest it.

Mobile. People still want to associate with other people and mobile marketing will allow us to reach them wherever they are.

Mobile apps. All this power is now at our fingertips, consumers can make incredibly informed decisions at the point of sale. The smart phone will revolutionize the way we shop and share our feelings about brands. We are essentially walking around with super computers in our pockets. This is not new, but I don't think we've yet fully realized the potential of this technology and the way it will change how we buy.

Hologram technologies.

Bing to break Google's strangle hold in the search market. Never happen but with the way Google keep changing things and with cluster results becoming more visible, most digital marketers wish Bing would give Google a run for their money.

The need to tell the truth and to play fair by the customer. We are all sick and tired of corporates broadcasting one message to us while setting up systems that cheat us with hidden charges. The web brings transparency and sooner or later enough people will pressurise the legislators to stamp out sharp practice

Mobile technologies.

Robots, Artificial intelligence, continued advances with tablets/mobile phones.
