How do you promote your blog?

I share it with friends, and also have put it in a couple blog directory listings.
I just keep blogging.
When I e-mail, there is a link to my blog in addition to my name and phone number. I have my blogadress on my card, that I give out. In interviews et cetera I almost always mention my blog.
I read other people's blogs, do occasional guest posts for them and sometimes do giveaways that attract new readers.
Facebook,twitter, yahoo, blogged, and word of mouth. i really want my blog to reach hundreds of people daily.
I have a twitter account with my blog linked in my profile. I created a love story project where my readers have sent in their love stories, and I feature them on my site. Readers can paste my button onto their blogs, leading other readers back to it. I noticed after I started my love story project, my blog grew in readers. I also comment on blogs I may come across during the day, and notice that many times the reader comes to visit my own.
I promote my blog by word of mouth and post the link to many of my social networks.
I have listed my blog on a few blog directories. I have some cross promotion with other similar blogs. And I do very minor self promotion through my Facebook status!

I've put my blog on a couple other websites that I sponsor, I have a Facebook for my blog/shop and also Twitter. I also try to take my time out to visit bloggers also.

The majority of my blog posts are also published at the following sites: AssociatedContent.com and Guerrillanews.com. My blog address is promoted via my profile for each website. I also have a myspace page (for my music - myspace.com/proseed) which includes my blog address in the profile. |
