How do you promote your blog?
Through networking, and word of mouth

through the various networking sites, like blogger, mybloglog, alltop, and other single parents online communities.
I've put my blog on a couple other websites that I sponsor, I have a Facebook for my blog/shop and also Twitter. I also try to take my time out to visit bloggers also.

The majority of my blog posts are also published at the following sites: AssociatedContent.com and Guerrillanews.com. My blog address is promoted via my profile for each website. I also have a myspace page (for my music - myspace.com/proseed) which includes my blog address in the profile.
By telling my friends and family.
I co-host ecojot giveaways which brings new readers. I promote it on Facebook and Twitter. I also find visiting sites and leaving thought provoking comments encourages other bloggers to check out my blog.
My blog is also promoted on the ecojot.com website.
By joining social networks, exchanging links with other bloggers and advertising.
I've joined several groups who promote women and women who blog. I've also added the link as a signature line to my e-mails. I've just begun some networking by linking to other blogs I've enjoyed in the past and have begun commenting on other people's blogs and have included my url with any comment I've made.
I do not. I don't know how anyone would find my blog, honestly.
I decided that I was going to publish mostly for people that had a direct interest in what I was writing. Originally I had spent considerable time "planting links", and received much traffic, but saw that most came for a glance. So I removed those links, and concentrated on search engines using webmaster tools and the like. Now my blog attracts people who are looking for what I offer, many of them return frequently. I make sure I have proper keywords in my postings.
