How do you promote your blog?

Whohub

I post the links to my blog on facebook & twitter.

I utilize free traffic generation strategies to promote my blog, on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube. I also do Article Marketing with EzineArticles and Squidoo. I also implement SEO, Search Engine Optimization strategies by writing blog articles with highly-demanded keywords.

The key here is, your blog must deliver the value people want. If it's plain hard-selling and promoting, then it won't be very pleasing to your readers.

Wix gave me a free Google AdWords trial, and I used that up. Since then, word of mouth, Tumblr, Twitter, posting EVERYWHERE, encouraging others to post EVERYWHERE, and soon enough, I'll have some promotional handouts.

If I ever make enough money off of the T-shirts, I'll be sure to get Google AdWords again.

A steady stream of quality content promotes itself through the rss aggregators. In addition I use feedburner, twitter (@advbimbling) facebook (adventurebimbling.com) and identi.ca (travelplan). I try to build a network of links to bring in traffic and gain rankings in Google, but with the advent of the nofollow attribute, this is becoming more and more difficult. Still, a nofollow link is better than no link. Since this is a dofollow service, I'll blatently post one here...http://www.adventurebimbling.com/mongolia/mongolia_practica l_information.html

I try to meet as many people as I can. I attend DC food and restaurant events. I am very active on twitter: @diningindc and I have a Fan Page on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Dining-in-DC/60262008995?ref=ts with over 650 fans and it grows every day.

On Tuesdays you can promote your blog on tumblr.com:)

I sometimes promote my blog by posting a link on Facebook or Twitter.

I don't do enough to promote my website.

Through twitter and facebook primarily. I also link up to other blogs and share links between blogs.

I don't in any formal capacity. Though I am very active on Twitter and somewhat active on Facebook.

Although I am very active online, I really don't promote my blog as such but I always link my blog address to all my online profiles. However, I reference my articles on Digg, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

with each update on my blog it appears as a tweet so my followers could go see it if they so please

Make a post and optimize it for SEO, publicize it through ping.fm, which hits facebook, twitter, linkedin, and a bunch of other social networks I belong to. If it's a good enough article, I'll syndicate it to thousands of websites through a few tools. Then, if it's REALLY good, I'll make a powerpoint presentation of the content and then record a video and syndicate that too.

Social media, guest posting.

Twitter, Facebook, commenting other blogs, blogging groups, and by word of mouth. Most of these outlets have other benefits but do bring me traffic.
