How often do you post? Does regular posting of your blog require a lot of effort on your part?
I post a couple times per day. Yes. Sometimes, there's nothing to say. Sometimes, I don't want to write. Most days, I feel that something is undone and incomplete if I don't blog.
I post every two weeks, and am starting to post more often, about once a week.
I feel that it's a good idea to have something new up for Monday morning. It takes some days to write a posting. I also do a lot of research and reading and of course going to try perfumes or obtaining samples. I used to post more often in the beginning but they were much shorter simpler posts. I have found it is a good idea to let it sit overnight and rereading out loud before hitting the post it button...
I normally post five times a week. I like to post only when I have true content because I want my readers to be interested and hopefully engage by leaving comments.
It doesn't require too much effort anymore because I've gotten good at the routine. I usually post 4-5 times a day, excluding weekends.
Posting for me is rather time intensive. When I blog about something, I take the extra effort to list every manufacturer, product reference with all the appropriate links to everything and everybody listed. I also am very choosy to what I blog about. Everybody has a blog regarding their view on technology or food, of which are the two blogs I mainly do outside of my personal responsibilities.
I just don't blog about anything and everything, so my postings at times can be sparse, however I am picking up the slack, since I have several blogs that I do run and maintain.
My average posting over the last three years was one post per day.
There are highs and lows depending on the amount of traveling. In 2009, for example, I've spent one third of my time on the road. In this context, regular posting requires a lot of discipline. The bonus part: regular posting implies keeping pace with brand new ideas that are "still in the cradle".

I blog every day. Some days, like Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays I always post the same thing. But the other days of the week I post unique things. I never really have a hard time coming up with blog topics--like I said, there's always some topic or another buzzing around in my brain!
I may post once or twice a week normally unless I have tapped into a lot of creative juices. It use to take much more effort to post because I was too preoccupied with how my thoughts would come across to readers. I don't let it slow me down anymore but I'm always thinking, "I could rewrite this better."

I try to post several times a week. It depends on what is going on. I don't think i could manage to post everyday. There are many bloggers who do and I just think it's miraculous. My mind just can't work like that.
I post whenever I have new material. It dose however take a lot of time and research.
I post anywhere from 3-5 entries a day. As for the effort, on some days it's a lot on other not so much. |
