How often do you post? Does regular posting of your blog require a lot of effort on your part?
It depends, but roughly 4-6 times a week. Sometimes it does take effort but like all good things, it's worth it.
Posting is easy. I allow one to two hours per day
I try one a day. Some posts come easy, some I have to sweat over.
i post one or two in a week. i need some effort to do that.
The minimum is every other day and during the Hockey season, I have been known to post twice a day. It's difficult because I am running TWO blogs, my own and the one on HockeyBuzz.com. So yes, it does take a lot of effort. People don't realize how much time you actually put into covering a sport through blogging. It's not easy and can be a real juggling act.
As I mentioned earlier in another question, because I have a 9-5er, my posting is relegated to once a week or once every two weeks. And when I do post, I aim to make my posts as interesting a "punny" as possible (one of the reasons I get compliments to that end :)
As I mentioned this blog originally started as a hobby, and in essence it's still functions along those lines.
When I started getting offers to do book reviews I was really surprised as, unlike other bloggers, I had never posted on my blog (and still don't) towards offering authors to send me their work for review. Most of my reviews prior to the offers were of my own accord of the books I had read.
As I only post once a week or once every two weeks it doesn't require as much effort on my part, either to find material a/o subject matter to post about. At first I thought I should have been posting more often. But as I have discovered, one of my favourite authors and author of the Blood Books on which Blood Ties was based, author Tanya Huff: http://andpuff.livejournal.com/ is an occasional blog poster as well (yes, albeit more than I do :)   | | |
I try to update my blog every time that I go on a layover with my job. It does take up a fair bit of time but I'm fortunate enough to have a lot of downtime and sleepless nights!
I post daily and yes sometimes requires a lot of effort.
I try and post weekly, but I haven't been sticking to that. Writing does take some work, because you need to find time to write and something to write about. Otherwise, I really enjoy it. Well, obviously or else I wouldn't be taking this interview.
I blog as many as 3 times a week. I really enjoy it, it inspires mento try new recipes and visit new places. Somehow when I start writing, a whole story comes out of nowhere!
Usually once a day, but I've been somewhat blogcating the last weeks. Too busy to keep it up, I guess, But it requires a lot of work, yes. Sometimes it's overwhelming.
I try to post each week. If I am busy, less so. It can be burdensome- it depends on how manically busy I am! I am now using Twitter more for microblogging- if there is an article on line that is of interest.
I blog once a week depending on whats going on in my life.
Usually every day. Some effort needed to write an article each day. Maybe 30 minutes per day.
I try to blog every other day, and i'll always do atleast 2 posts at a time. It doesn't really take effort because it's something I enjoy |
