What was it that made you create your blog? On what date did you start it?

Whohub

June 6 2008 was the first post - i thought it was time to document the goings on in our company

Lymenaide- I became disabled by chronic Lyme disease. I started the blog in July 2009

Upcycled by Ash- I needed an outlet for my creativity. I started the blog in July 2010

I am passionate about trees, especially the tiny ones. Their are hundreds of Bonsai web sites, most are focused on the same format. I wanted to try something different, I suppose more for the new collectors, the beginners. I started the Blog in May 2009.

I am an aspiring writer so i needed an output for my thoughts & also to know if I'm any good at writing.

I started it in January of 2006 after having a discussion with a friend about how all the great adventures in the world have already been done. I disagreed, and set out to prove it to him.

I have been blogging for 5 years since 2005, but the first blog I created is more of a personal diary. I created my business blog, http://Ding-Neng.com in June 2010, as a way to claim a piece of my virtual real estate. :)

I use my blog as a platform to reach out to internet and network marketers who have been struggling to make network marketing works for them. I also provide useful tips and resources on my blog which anyone can implement to grow their business.

The seeds of my interest in Christoph, as with many English-speaking people, started with the first viewing of Inglourious Basterds. I walked out of the cinema absolutely blown away by Christoph's performance as Colonel Hans Landa. Upon subsequent viewings, I started to see Christoph the actor beyond his masterful performance as Landa, and the psychologist in me had to find out what made this man have the capability to play such an amazing, extraordinary character. Unfortunately I found very little available online in an accessible format.

The social networking site Tumblr offered the most information and photographs, so I made an account there. This was probably around February 2010. When I found more images of Christoph from other places I posted them on Tumblr. People noticed. They loved it. The older the images or rarer, the better. The more I used Google Translate and browsed through German news sites the more attention I received. It snowballed almost overnight and it was by the time of his Oscar win in March 2010, I was posting on a regular basis. Shortly after, I became Sachertorte und Strudel (Sachertorte being a sweet Austrian cake, and Strudel being associated with Hans Landa from Inglourious Basterds, also Austrian), and dedicated my blog solely to covering the "Sweet Austrian Indulgence" known as Christoph Waltz.

As my viewership and following grew, I added a Facebook page to archive photographs. I then made some YouTube videos. Finally I bought a domain and started a website. Most recently, we opened up a shop to sell christophwaltzfans.com themed t-shirts to offset the cost of hosting.

I decided that I'd had enough of my current career, I left to pursue something that I was truely interested in. I had to make this pay somehow, so an act of determination ensued that got my site up and developing. When did it start? [scratches head] err.... maybe February 2010. The idea was thrashing around for much longer than that though.

I have always loved writing and sharing my thoughts and findings online. I use social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter and thought it would be fun to have my own little personalized space. I started my blog in June 2010.

I started the blog in June 2007 so that I could help my friends, and friends of friends, who were always seeking dining out recommendations. As a native Washingtonian and someone who was spending so much time and money dining out, I was considered almost an expert in my group of friends. I was asked so frequently, that finally someone suggested that I put all of the information "in one place". That person suggested I start a blog. The rest is history.

I began blogging as an outlet to dealing with my issues with Lyme Disease. I began my blog in 2010 to have a way to externalize my frustrations with Lyme, it was more of a diary. It has evolved to more of an educational tool for other Lyme sufferers.

I think I started blogging two months ago. I created it because I love to read gossip&share with people.

My first blog, www.blondacrossthepond.com was created as a way to stay in touch with friends and family when I moved to London to earn my Master's degree.

I created my first blog around January of 2010. Unfortunately, for me, it was hacked due to lack of security to minimize hacking. I then decided to start afresh from scratch... again... in March, 2010. To read more about my experiance and the measures I took, check out http://rehemaworks-online.com/wordpress/wordpress-blog-starting-from-scratch-again

So the reason why I started my blog in the first place was because I wanted a platform in which I could express myself. I knew that I had something to blog about. I wanted to share what I have experianced and learned in my online and off line pursuits.

I wrote for several women's video game websites, and men's too. Eventually I needed my own website because I always wrote more content than my editors could keep up with. I began reviewing video games in 04. But I've been a gamer since 1979. Which gives me a long view from experience. There aren't many female game writers out there like me. When I started there were only a handfull of female game jounalists. Six years is forever in internet time. There are many more young women doing tech blogs.
