Hobby is a structured activity distinct from work. For me, everything I do is what I do. I don't feel any separation between activities, and any time invested in them is part of the one life I live.
SINGING, playing the piano, Dancing to upbeat songs, writing feature articles, and watching music videos. And who can forget about surfing the internet???
I love to read, do crafts, paint, crochet, garden, cook, and many other things. There is so many interesting and fascinating things to do.
When you can tear me away from the pc, I do a bit of gardening, diy, reading, and whatever takes my fancy this year. I enjoy puzzles and never refuse a game of chess. I occasionally invest in stocks and shares.
I like to try something new each year. Other years I have tried:
- casting natal charts (serious maths here)
- cross-stitch embroidery - I liked that so much I kept it up 5 years or more
- designing patterns for same, custom lettering particularly
- one year I learnt to swim
- trading on ebay, car boot sales
- memorising the greek alphabet
- growing my own beans
- raising apple seedlings
TRAVEL
I enjoy adventure and I like seeing new places. I have visited every single one of the 50 states in the USA as well as cities in 26 other countries.
PHOTOGRAPHY
I'm a volunteer photojournalist for a local newspaper and I like expressing my creativity through this artistic outlet. I excel mostly on flowers and lakes, but I hope to learn how to take better photos of people.
I like to do a lot of things, but I don't really do anything enough to consider it a hobby, except fuck around on the internet and play video games...
computer programming, self development, cooking, spiritual quest, social network, psychology, nature, travel, music
I love to garden, to volunteer, to read, to hike, and most importantly spending time with my friends.
I just love Jazz + Baroque + House Music + Hiphop & music in general. I grew up in a very musical environment. No one was playing any instrument but we knew how to appreciate music and dance on it. My parents gave me the love of harmony, of saxophone, of blues & of words.
I just talk about dancing... Dancing actually help me stay away from troubles in my youth - music also, I have to admit - Throughout the 80' an explosion of urban styles kinda came and stayed: Bboying, New Jack Swing, House, Vogueing etc etc I was part of it too!
Now older I bike a lot & I love gadgets! There is always a boy in a man's soul...
