What role does technology play in your creative process?

Whohub

I think I would find it very difficult to work from home if it wasn't for the internet. Purely to feel I have a community around me to inspire me and to support me. Technology plays a very small part in my actual work, but to enable me to keep working I think it is very important.

(I love listening to podcasts while I am printmaking, but my laptop gets very dirty fingerprints all over it!)

As a fine artist and graphic artist, technology has become a key component to allowing me to do my artwork. I am very thankful for graphics programs such Photoshop and Fireworks which allow me to play with photographs and colors, as well as allowing me to fine-tune color once I have scanned in my artwork so that it can be uploaded to the internet.

I use tools in my creation of art. Without them, the art would go much slower.

I TOTALLY rely on my Digital Camera and Computer. High Speed Broadband motors me around as fast as my Brain will work, and I'm able to save all of my Artworks as images which are downloaded to a coupla disks annually. On the computer daily, I cant imagine not being connected. My Blog and Website are updated frequently, my emails r checked regularly, plus my sales site, Etsy (and rarely ebay), plus Facebook chitchats!!! I love U Computer!!!

I tend to not use technology alot. However, lately I have been using painting software to create studies of my finished works as well as the presentation of the work when I upload it to the net.

Technology is the now and the future. Although I am a traditional artist there is a role for thecnology in my field definetely.

I`m not a fan of techonology, I find hand made stuff more beautyful, but I have some skills that I can use (play with my pictures, make patterns and so on), and the internet has been really useful when I study. Studies includes the schoolworks and my own personal life (I want to have so much information of all sorts of things... you can never have too much of knowledge).

I use the internet for research

The etymology of technology comes from the Greek “techni” which means craft. Using the right tool on the right medium the right way is vital to what I do and how I look at art. Any art object is its own special particular and the media and methods used to create it are essential to its particular character.

Very little..only started using a computer 3 years ago..resisted it as long as possible. Now I do use my scanner and printer a great deal and I have an on-line presence with my etsy and 1000 Markets shops and my website..My son's (Noah Erenberg) art is on all my sites and he has sold substantial art through my on-line sites. Technology is necessary to promote art but i do not use it in any way to create art.

I make my 'translations' in either Photoshop (2 dimensions) or FLASH (video).

The internet plays a big part in my creativity, especially now i,m retired,I love the groups or blogs where challenges are put up daily for me to partake in,interacting with other artists, keeping up with new materials in the mixed media world,I would be lost without it !

not much.

The Technology today plays a major role in my creative process of my art so everything today is link to technology from start to finish and like everyother artist i use it because i beleive it has became not only a part of our art creativity but of our life in general.
