What role does technology play in your creative process?
Not a lot. I sometimes use my wacom pad to draw on the computer, but mostly my ideas go straight from my head to whatever medium in which I am working.
As a creator of children's picture books, it is vital in the creative/production process, now that much of my art is digital.
Painting materials are technology enough.

I love technology! I love my mac computer and use it to crop and enhance my work. Plus I love that people can see my art online like in my etsy site. It's fast and fun and a great way to connect.
Some but not a lot. I really do *hate* all the heavily Photoshopped stuff out there.
Technology plays a huge role in my creative process because with this magic of technology I can share my thoughts and writings with the world!! I think technology is magical and that it eliminates distances. =)

Photography and the computer are very helpful and play a big role. I don't copy photos but like to change them, leave things out, put things in. I need information to compose with and technology fills the bill.

Technology often plays an integral part of my creative process. I can use image compositing as a means of drawing. Photography plays a crucial role too for me.
In my digital work...the computer and render software are paramount. In my painting work, I use the computer and modeling software for reference. I do alot of research through the internet and I also use images for photo manipulation in some of my digital work. |
