Do you defend the ecotaxes?
Totally.
I agree there should be a focus on funding important environmental projects and actions but as stated elsewhere - I don't trust those in charge to apply this without added corruption
I am critically concerned about the environment, but I find ecotaxes cynical and pointless.

Some yes, but this new Australian Carbon Tax is a con and a rip off of the Australian people for which the Government of JuLiar Gillard should be hung!

In times of national emergency like the Arab Oil Crisis. Regulations, price controls, and conservation helped this country survive a national emergency. In World War II, rationing helped this country survive and defend itself from a world at war. I don't need to defend it, it has been done before. Read your history books.
In theory and principle, yes...but I don't think taxes will lead to change just to ways to skirt the tax.
