Should a maximum limit of permissible personal fortune exist; and thereby, place limits on individual wealth?
It is no right to place such a limit, provided that the wealth is legitimately earned.
Yes. No human being is so gifted that they deserve obscene fortunes. Even the most brilliant and industrious among us do not deserve so much more that their abundance materially keeps others from being able to live even simply. The rewards that should naturally accrue to good ideas, talent and hard work should be tempered by the constraint of responsible participation in the greater community. No man/woman is an island, independent of either God or his/her fellows. If he acts like one he should be exiled to one!
No that would limit development, yet as people we can place moral pressure on the supper rich to help the less fortunate among us, thus creating a moral stigma if your greedy, and horde money.
This is the only way for freedom to be.
Equal Education is what will level the playing field for humans.
I will When President of the USA make a computer program to teach a basic level of all things and test for a high school level, to rival a 4 year college grad now.
Then I will see this program is used by all Americans, and offer it to other schools the world over. Thus making all children have the same basic level to live and make good choices in life as a starting point.
Absolutely not. This must be a joke. There should not be a limit on anything a personal does for him or herself. We have the right to work as hard as we want and earn as much as we want.
No
Absolutely not. This is a truly Marxist ideal. Punishing people for their success is not the way to cause people to want to be successful. It's a very simple concept. Successful people pay more in taxes than other people. Promoting success results in higher tax revenues for a government.
No, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't tax it with reckless abandon.
Hum, might be worth lookin' at!
ABSOLUTELY NOT!
Wealth should not be individually limited, but we would need progressive taxation. I think fortune inheritance swells the imbalance; as long as small groups can keep building on their wealth without restriction, passing it on to the next in line, we will never be equal.
Never! A person is entitled to earn their worth and as much as they'd like.
Never
No I would not put limits on individual Wealth. I would still tax it proportionately higher than those less wealthy.
That would be fair how?
No, and no. |
