Do you have any specific goals as an illustrator?
I have Three Goals:

ANNUAL AWARD AS THE BEST MAGAZINE CARTOONIST.
TWO: TO SELL THE NEW YORKER MAGAZINE AND BECOME A " REGULAR ".
THREE: TO CONNECT WITH A NATIONALLY SYNDICATED COMIC STRIP OR COMIC PANEL
AND STAY SYNDICATED.
To be able to maybe feed my family.
To improve and work harder on my craft and to get my name out there.
Just to keep drawing what I want to draw, and investing that with meaning, both for me and for the reader. It's a wonderful thing to be able to play with ideas and messages in the visual medium, and I want to become better at doing that.
It would be nice to get to the point where I didn't have to go to a day job, and just work at home.
I would like to have a published and successful graphic novel one day.
I am a Tibetan woman illustrator, till now i haven't seen a professional illustrator. so I want to be the one. and wanted to illustrated all the Tibetan stories.
To go to art school.
Its a very competitive world out there. The goal is just to make a living and hope the client have no qualms about my kind of work and will gladly pay for it.
My goals is to open my own office which can deal with Illustrations and some other things which are related to.
I think the main goal of my profession - and any other as well- is to put food on the table and provide for my family. If the customer walks away momentarily fulfilled, i did my job. When the bills are paid are when i get to sigh a little relief. I do have stories I want to get out, and I will, but I'm not losing any sleep over any of it.
My goal is to bring a new point of view to racing history.
To make my clients happy.
I would just love to make it somehow - to get something, anything commissioned. My dream upon all dreams is for my book, 'Fluffville' to find a publisher instead of all the rejection letters.
Eventually I'd like to become a full-time freelance artist. |
