Colleagues from The Cartoonists' Club of Great Britain
Yes - mainly online via specialist forums.
Aboslutely. This is a very small industry and many cartoonists know each other and are good friends. There are several regular cartoon events around the country, and indeed abroad, and I often get to hook up with old friends.
Yeah. Sometime me and a couple of pretty talented friends of mines sometimes discuss that stuff over skype. I so love skype.
Well, the cartoon community is quite small, so we all talk a bit about such things. It's mostly about mutual psychlogical support, I think. By the way, what nib do you use?

Yeah, whenever I see someone using a cool technique or method, I'll ask them how they do it. Also, if they want to know how I did something I'll always let them know.
Yes. I learn and share with many people. Learning never stops.

I work alone, but I do have artist friends with whom I enjoy "talking shop". I teach courses in Cartooning and Flash Animation, so I share my hard earned wisdom with my students, before they move on to the next course in the prospectus.
My boyfriend Joel Kimmel is also an illustrator so we are constantly sharing ideas and art supplies. |
