Have you completed formal art studies, or are you self-taught?

I finished one year at the University of Toronto in the Art and Art History Program. I then switched to Sheridan College where I finished my BAA in Illustration.

I completed a 4 year study Illustration at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Furthermore I studied 2 years painting at the Royal Artacademy of Antwerp, in Belgium.

I just finished my Junior year at Columbus own CCAD and am looking forward to graduating next year with flying colors. I have a deep passion for art and am always trying to further my education on my own as well. I have also studied abroad in Florence Italy were I took drawing classes. A Italian language class and studied art history.

Growing up I attended Catholic grade school and high school and there was little in the way of art training. When I was twelve I sent an art talent test to Art Instruction Schools in Minneapolis (the school Charles Schulz and so many famous artists attended) and 'fibbed' about my age to see if they thought I had any talent. I scored high enough that they sent a representative to talk to my parents, but I was too young to enroll at the time, but eagerly did so a few years later. That program taught me the fundamentals of art that helped me when I went to college and that I still rely upon today.
Interestingly enough, I am now an enrollment representative for the school in Colorado and love the opportunity to meet new artists and help them with their careers.

I studied GCSE Art and Design, as well as A Level at school. I then went on to take my foundation in Art and Design at Oxford Brookes University; I think that taking this course helped me grow as a person as well as making me realise that Illustration was what I wanted to do, rather than Fine Art. The campus is based on Headington Hill, which is an amazing location, and the city is so inspiring. I recommend everyone to visit Oxford at some point in their lives, I have so many happy memories there.

I am now completing my second year of BA (Hons) Graphic and Media Design with Illustration Pathway at London College of Communication, University of the Arts London. It is a fast-paced, industry based course in which we are given short briefs to complete. The facilities are excellent, and we can use a vast range of equipment from screen printing to letter press.

Hopefully I will be able to continue my education in the future by completing an MA at the SVA in New York, or the Royal College of Art or Central Saint Martins. But you never know what the future holds.

I graduated from The Art Institute of Boston with a degree in illustration.

I am a recent graduate from Maryland Institute College of Art, I graduated with a BFA in illustration. Both of my parents are illustrators so I have had artistic training my entire life. I am very lucky

2008 Summa Cum Laude Bachelors degree in Illustration from the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC

Went to school at the Vancouver Film School plus I have 5 years experience
in Commercial Animation and Illustration.

Otis College of Art + Design

I have always loved to draw. I remember drawing a dolphin in 2nd grade and really impressing my teacher. I started out at the University of South Alabama, studying painting under this really amazing artist, Ben Shamback. After that, I had the wonderful opportunity to study illustration at the School of Visual Arts.

I have graduated from the Sheridan College of Technology and Advanced Learning in ON Canada for their BA of Illustration program.

I also took their Art Fundamentals program.

Art Center College of Design, BFA in Illustration.

I paint since... I can't remember myself without crayons!

My mother was a good painter, she introduced me to the colour's magic. It' so special for a child to have someone who can help him to express ART.
I had this fortune.

I studied in the Art Academy of Rome till 1998, then I left Rome for Tokyo where I learned the lightness and delicate art of Japan, self-teaching my self drawing on the streets, or at home after seen it's landscapes... It's secret gardens compared with it's caotic cities!! So cool...

I am mainly self taught, however I did an Art and Design course recently which helped me with my portfolio.
