I have a Bachelors degree of arts with honors in Illustration, earned from completing a 3 year course at Swindon College, UK.
I went to school at the art institute online...so I have my degree, but with online courses you really do teach yourself. so a bit of both!

Yes, i've completed various Interior Design courses and studied at degree level. I'm currently embarking on a course that will focus specifically on Illustration which is very exciting, can't wait to learn/hone some new skills.

I've had some college, and a few private teachers - beyond that, I am self-taught
I am currently graduating from Kingston University, London, with a degree in Illustration and Animation, but I do not believe formal training is necessary to be a great art practicioner.
As long as you have the ideas, the talent, and the ability to judge your work fairly for it's high points and low points, then you have the potential to work in art field. The rest is just learning to talk the talk.
Self-taught.
I would say I'm self-taught. I didn't speak until I was four, I chose instead to draw out what I wanted and how I was feeling. Come to think of it, that hasn't changed too much!
At this point I have yet to go into any school for art, however I do plan to go to school for animation.

A bit of both really. I went to art college but I studied theatrical costume design at Bournemouth, rather than illustration. A friend of mine, who is a teacher, asked me to illustrate his book, which was published by an educational publisher, and I decided illustrating was what I really wanted to do. I taught myself to use Photoshop and Corel Painter however. I'm always learning new things.
When I was about 5 or 6 years old I used to trace the characters in How To Draw Comics the Marvel Way. Later I stopped and began to teach myself how to draw people and objects better. In 2005, after pursuing art classes at community colleges, I enrolled in Art Center College of Design where I graduated with Bachelors of Fine Arts with an emphasis on Illustration.
