How is an idea sold?
When it makes someone pause for thought.
When it makes someone offended.
When it strikes and emotional need in the buyer.
How is anything sold, you pitch your idea and if someone likes it they buy it.
Clear communication, excellent wording, beautiful pictures.
Only by articulating it well, and discussing it thoroughly.
I have no idea. If I did, I'd be a lot better known.
In selling a choreo idea to another usually means getting other dancers to dance includes this:
~explaining the history of the song/background of what I wanting to convey
~seeing/sharing the above along with the tireless effort, and vision of the piece
~100% dedication
~only positive qualities
If I don't have that then its a miss and is shelved or if I can do it solo...then I work myself {but that tends to be a bit boring!}
Marketing, iconography and exposure.
