|Do you believe the newer generations are better at designing?
unfortunately, i can say absolutely not.
i'm old school... i still hand sketch and drape. now, young designers do everything on a computer and don't even know how to sew. it's sad.
..obviously it is an evolution, no one is better, only different.
New generations are still learning from old techniques and vice versa.
May be ...
Not necessarily. I myself still look up to the discipline that senior designers and their timeless designs. But I believe we can be better if we incorporate their discipline and thinking to combine with our own ingenuity.
I don't believe there is an answer for this question. I feel that there are designers of all generations that are amazing and some that are a bit mediocre. But it's like comparing Dior and Chanel with the Antwerp 6.
Not really. They of course have a consciousness of design gained from history which is an advantage, but that is progression, not talent
No, I think that a certain amount of life experience makes us better designers and builders.
yes, i believe
I don't think they are better, but have a lot more resource than we ever had. I think the stakes should be higher.
no, no, no
Can I leave this question? I am the newer generation...
they have a better advantage than us old skoolers with there knowledge on the latest photo shop and illustrator tricks other than that the new kids look up to us old skoolers for ideas
YES.. Live and learn
