Someone who can think for themselves, and someone who is able to execute an idea and not just put it on paper or leave it in theory.
When selecting a person to be a part of my creative team I would consider a few important qualities. Work ethic is a vital quality in a teammate, the person needs to be motivated and want to work hard to help the team. A second quality significant to me is an open mind, a good teammate should be willing to hear everyones' ideas and be open to their role in the group. Being thorough is my third outstanding quality that I look for in a creative teammate. I feel that with at least these three qualities I would be able to build a successful creative team.
I look for same attributes as my own - but not a mirror - they can be a Mormon or a Gay Scientist! As long as we share a common aesthetic vision and process.
Passion.. Why do they want to be part of the project? if for money.... Good bye, fame, good bye, but if the work on something they are passionate about that is priceless.
I like to choose people who are creative in different ways. Maybe, one person is really good at drawing, and another is really good at writing. It helps make the project that you are working on come together cohesively.
