How do you avoid repeating yourself, or falling into formula? How do you stay fresh?
I am a person who always likes new and fresh things, I hate old things. I think through my communication with many different people, combined with my own knowledge, I can express myself in my own ways. Whatever uninteresting to me should be modified to more interesting feature.
MY mind is the answer to this question. It is always thinking in new and developing manners. It never rests. This I do not understand but I would have it no other way. Love ones self and the thought process. Always thinking out side the box helps to avoid falling into repetition.
I'm trying to do things which are~really, keep me in solitude, something you can't pin point, sometimes scientific; I don't know: i love everyone, i love all things...i'm trying to do things. by moving on and giving, by not holding on, but understanding and~~ appreciating. observing~ missing is a new one~but I'm starting to believe.
I don't really avoid repeating myself, nothing wrong with rehersal as long as it's functional and succesfull. But everything evolves in time and so asks for dynamic approaches in the ways, language and awareness of the present, so i seldom get stuck in old ways and intuitively renew myself.
I try to find new, different, and crazy ideas.
It's difficult but I start with a new subject & go on from there.
This is difficult as many of the venues I tell at are not that demanding. Its easy to slip into telling the same tried and tested stories. For that reason I do offer adult orientated evening performances that include many rarely told tales.
i'm not avoid to repeating myself. It seems always there's something different when it looks i repeat my previous artwork. Because, i can't repeat myself to be exactly the same as like i did in the previous anyway. it's nature to me.
whenever the attacks comes- i take time to relax, for 10 to 15minutes .. and ussualy it gets back normal
Everything is a constant progress. Me and the surrounding are changing everytime. Nothing has to be determined or fixed. There are no boundaries or limits and nothing can be foreseen. So.. I'm just a leaf in the wind.
The seeds of the solution are in the problem. Every problem is unique, so every solution should be unique. What I don't do is walk around with a "solution" in my pocket looking for a "problem" to apply it to. I know that works for some people, but it's not what I do. I do however bring a basic process to problem solving. That is always with me.
Since I make jewelry I rarely make the same thing twice. I find it much more interesting to create something fresh and new each time. It may be more time consuming but it is far more rewarding.
I love trying new things and doing a few blog challenges always helps as sometimes they require you not to just make cards and it keeps my mind going.
I try and do as many things as i can, i do camping if i need to find out more about camping, i study a culture's history if i need to know about it.
I will do whatever i can to do what i need, so that i can write, and draw, and feel the things that i need to invoke in others, or else it just wont come through.
Being able to see a pattern develop is key to staying fresh. Also, being able to view life through other people's eyes is a big help. |
