Your mind is your work tool. How do you take care of it?

Search out beautiful things and surround myself with them
Remember that I am part of nature
Drink enormous amounts of tea
Smile as much as possible

Good sleeping schedule and not using drugs.

I keep my creative juices flowing by not stopping being creative. I am at the moment producing a daily blog and I have recently finished my latest oil. I also complete a simple daily cryptic crossword which keeps me thinking in a round about way.

Being happy... having a happy mind in my opinion creates the best creative tool! It can be something as simple as holding my new little one to going outside and breathing the fresh air. I find that if I get blocked I just take a step back and think of something that makes me smile and it makes things so much easier.

By knowing what it needs and when it needs it. Constantly trying to maintain the balance of physical, physiological, emotional, and spiritual health.

Water, prayer, Internet.

I exercise it daily. I read, don't watch television, don't compete in mindless games, and I practice learning and remembering Irish tunes.

I try to spend time alone and quite. I read and my creativity is my outlet. Time has no hold on me when I am working on something.

I get lost of sleep, and I drink loads of caffeine.

A life full of intrinsic passion and intense solitude---no way of formally taking care of it. Rare moments of silence are sometimes enough, following a period of lethargy.

By beeing curious of everything ! Reading, writing, seeing films, bake cookies or make patchwork goodies... My everyday life is the best for making up my minds and invent new things.

I don't believe in not looking at other's creative works. I draw inspiration from every bit of life. Whether it is searching the internet for pictures of words that interest me, seeking out other's designs, or going out for a walk. This kind of stimulation keeps my inspiration fresh and helps me from becoming worn out and tired.

I open it every day. The list of things I want to know about grows exponentially. I don't buy into diet and wonder drugs for helping my brain. Staying active, engaged, and always looking for something new to learn is the best thing one can do for the mind.

By making sure I don't slip into rigid, set-in-its-ways thinking processes. By treating each day as a tabula rasa whereby to exercise an open mind reaching for new ideas, meanings, and the will to question or revise old definitions. Unconventionality is a good way to always keeping the mind fresh. Doing something creative each day, or problem solving keeps the old noggin' spry.

I take care of my tool by using it! If I don't have any ideas in one area, I simply try my hand at making or working with other things. Sometimes it turns out to be positive, other times I learn what NOT to attempt in the future!
