Your mind is your work tool. How do you take care of it?
The Number 1 way to preserve this.. is by resting it
I read a lot of spiritually inspired books to learn more about the world of healing and spirituality. I meditate every day and leave quiet times for peace especially early morning and late at night. This helps me both prepare for the day ahead and mull over the day passed to gleam wisdom from it and prepare for sleep and dream. I find inspiration from my dreams and love to pray of the Grandmother Moon. I find prayer very important in my life!
I read everyday. I like solving puzzles & I can't do these things without eating & drinking healthy. I don't like to be in stressful environments, & I don't like causing stress for myself; let alone by others.
I really need to relax. Because it's very hard to make something really cool if you are tired, disappointed or whatever bad happened to you. That's in design, writing, in every creative piece of the world. You need to refresh your mind and open it for inspiration.
I'd like to say something sensible like 'I make sure I get enough sleep.' In reality I do a lot of puzzles, read and watch television or films. I think it's important to keep the mind active when you're not working with it, but it is just as important to give it some time off. Watching something easy on the box like a chick flick or listening to calming music whilst doing absolutely nothing else really makes me feel renewed. Also, physical exercise can be just as good for the brain as it can for the body. I like to go for long walks with my dog and just think.
I often practice my art and baking skills in my spare time. I try to find/learn new shortcuts and techniques to keep my brians agility up! Sometimes you have to think on your toes!
being carefull on what i see, keeping a filter in my head is very important because, once i see an image, i can't forget it. I think it's very important to be with family and friends, just people who care about me and i care about them. just the simple things in life is very important to me.
Think up new things every day. No matter how silly or unconnected they may be.
I have always stayed a way from clicks and cults in music. It keeps me pure from the ego centered people in the arts.
Growing up I devoured books! Nowadays with so much going on and so much technology and internet it's easier to find information with a touch of a button, raising productivity but lowering the actual involvement in the research and reading process. Finding time to actually read an entire book becomes harder, but i do force myself to make time. Reading is so essential and so important, and I'm not talking tabloid or beauty magazines!
Wow that's a big question. I got to admit in my late teens early 20's i didn't take care of my mind as much as i should have. I used to over work myself constantly trying to figure things out and cram lots of educational things in and work 50 hours a week. It got on top of me and now i just meditate, play sports, listen to music to free myself from pressures of daily life and feed it with positive things that inspire my work.
I work it hard, just like my muscles, but I always let it rest.
I remind myself to feed it beautiful things like positivity & have as much fun as humanly possible & THEN some!
I always start looking at everything that surrounds me without doing anything and just stay silent while thinking. Finally I always got an idea after doing my silent treatment. |
