I'm working on three novels at once. One is a sequel to 'China Town Warrior' (which is up on Amazon). Another is a weird idea for a fantasy tale involving knights, orcs, dragons, and so forth. The third is a social comedy about a hopeless young wretch pining for a coworker while serving as a servant who wipes the bottoms of royalty over in the UK.
Right now, I'm working on building an audience/awareness for The Last Way Station. I'm also completing the expansion of my novella, The Reform Artists, into a novel. (It should be ready for rerelease in January of 2012.) Then, I'll continue developing a sci-fi trilogy I've been thinking about/researching for several years. It takes place on earth and spans hundreds of years of human history. (No working title yet, but I'm excited about it.)

This modern-day novel is based on the actual massacre of innocent Americans by Mormon zealots in the Utah Territory in September of 1857. In present-day Nashville, Tennessee, Jeremiah grows up with a prejudice against the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for the murders in 1857 of his ancestors at Mountain Meadows. Until the 1995 Oklahoma City attack, this was the most deadly act of terrorism against US citizens.
Jeremiah’s hatred multiplies when his father, Luke, informs him that his mother suffered abuse at the hands of her Mormon husband in a previous marriage. Due to his father’s association with the Mormon Victim’s Action Committee, Jeremiah gets an opportunity to expose the current wide-spread and Church-accepted practice of abusing women. With his father’s encouragement and the knowledge of his mother’s horrific experience, Jeremiah accepts M-VAC’s offer to train and insert him into an LDS community in hopes of collecting evidence to prosecute the abusers.
Jeremiah’s objective broadens when he sees all the atrocities committed by Mormon zealots. Now he wants to expose the entire Church as a violent and dangerous fraud.   | | |
I am currently working on the first major revision of the second book in a trilogy. The first book was published this past June and I'm hoping to get the second out by the end of 2012.
Working on University Stories. I’m trying to include a collection of typical university experiences in this novel. It’s like a collection of short stories linked together, all happening to the same character as he grows as a person and becomes more independent. I published political poetry with LGBT Asylum News, Poetry 24 and Politiku. Last night I read at This is Fire! www.thisisfire.com joking Twitter is loving people you don't know and Facebook hating people you do know, all good fun. I'm a political animal by nature although I would never run for any office. How boring! I love keeping up with the literary world on Twitter and frequently tweet @queeraspoetry.
I just made my theater debut in The Rocky Horror Show. A really cool cast at the local, historic Riviera Theatre which opened in 1925. Now that 'The Literary Party: Growing Up Gay and Amish in America' is out I need to incubate, map out 2012 but again I write for myself.
So far @7x20 has scheduled a poem, short story for January, February 2012 and Rocky Horror 2012. Starting book #2!

Dreamspinner Press has accepted my third manuscript, On the Trail to Moonlight Gulch, scheduled for release April 2012. Moonlight Gulch was my first historic novel, set in 1886 Chicago and the Black Hills. In a few weeks I will be busy with preliminary edits and working with the cover designer. In the meantime, I'm working on my fourth novel, tentatively titled, "Alaska Hunt," about the professional and personal life of an Alaska State Wildlife Trooper.

And I have another M/M romance with a strong bdsm/kink element that's very close to being done, so I've moved it from the back burner to the front burner because for a while, I was having a hard time focusing. I literally picked the project with the highest word count and said "you, you are what I'm working on!" I'm seriously hoping to have it done in the next couple of weeks, then it's a matter of revision and keeping my fingers crossed when I start sending it out.
I think it's important to have the next project lined up when you send something out, though.
I'm also working on ideas for promoting _Heart's Home_ -- part of that is going to be writing a couple of fanfiction pieces, to remind my fanfic readers that I still exist ;-)

I'm working on a Masters dissertation, my novel is languishing on my computer but I write every day in my job in PR.
After The Interpreter, I want to work on Running from Life a little and get it published. Then, I intend to write the sequel of The Interpreter - The Interpreter II.
Currently I am working on a book about Fibromyalgia from the patients point of view. Women from all over the world have contributed their stories so the book is in the voice of the sufferers and not simply a medical book written by a professional who don't have Fibromyalgia. The highlight is the women's stories of pain and rejection. He Called Me Fat & Neurotic: Our Struggles With Fibromyalgia and the Medical and Legal Systems by Carol Itoh has a March 2012 release date. |
