What are you working on now?
I am working on another comparison biography that I want to keep to myself.
I'm working on a mystery novel about a murder that really happened. Investigators have never found the suspects. The murder took place seven years ago in a rural community.
Publishing for other people.
I am working on several stories about women. I believe we as a nation are struggling with sexism. While we pretend we want to see women be strong, powerful and successful, we also do our best to "take them down" when such a women emerges. Men do this to women and women do this to women. I believe we are on the brink of having to dramatically redefine the roles of men and women in our society. The struggles of working this out make for exciting story telling.
A second edition of my fifth book, The Complete Tracker, a new book, Scats and Tracks: A Practical Guide for Hunters, and I'm negotiating for a regional book about the North Country hiking trail. I also have two novels underway, but I don't spend enough time on them, I suppose. And at any given time I have a dozen magazine articles under construction. I don't know what Writer's Block is, because I seem to never run out of topics.
I'm working on two books at the moment. One is a YA science fiction story set on a space colony. The other is a sequel to a series of short stories with the twins from AGENTS & ADEPTS.
THINKING WRITE: The Secret to Freeing Your Creative Mind, due out in October 2009
I help other authors get their work in a readable format. My brain can turn on and read something as if it has never seen it before.
I write to change the future of kids, so most of my writing is from my heart. Right now we are writing a script, book and TV series, The Kid Whisperers...we believe we can change the future of kids by empowering them with the truth of who they are.
Im writing my autobiography and one blog (gendinsjournal). The other blog (watchingpolitics) is strictly reportorial plus an occasional editorial.
Right now, I'm trying to get myself to the stage where my first novel is done and I no longer tinker with it, and then I can think about whether I want to write something else.
A father-son story, set against the New York art world; it's based on my most 'successful' screenplay (It's been under option many times, though not yet filmed). The story started as a novella, so it feels like coming full circle.
I really don't like to discuss current projects, but I will say that it's a novel about a man that dies and goes to Heaven. Only to discover that Heaven isn't what he thought it was going to be.
Futile attempts to start the sequel to "Pole Shift"
This past November I held my first book signing. I had two others within six weeks, but had to stop.
I was in the process of getting "noticed", when I had to stop and catch up on bills. Advertising gets expensive, fast.
I'm hoping to re-start in March.
Right now I am working on hard publishing my book, The BreakUp Workbook. It should be on amazon.com by January, 2009. |
