A historical mystery novel, in final revisions, a new book about restoring and sailing wooden boats following a 15-year (and ongoing) love affair with that hobby, and a sequel to my first collection of short stories.
I just finished -- last week -- a short story called "A Cold Heart," which has not yet been read to anyone. I'll take it to the next writers group. Before that, in December, I wrote an article for RunMinnesota magazine on an Olympian runner, and before that a short story, which I count among my best, called "Return to Mater Dei."
I'm working on a novel dealing with teenage sexual pressures and more serious sexual issues.
Rewriting and updating The Stone Soup Proposal, building three websites then move onto the final edit and rewrite of Police Problems I & II which is around 700 pages in two volumes.
I'm writing a series of four novels, Earth, Air, Fire, Water.
I'm doing the final revision on Earth and will be sending it to agents in February 2009. It's a literary novel. The rough draft of Air is nearly finished.
Each novel chronicles the life of Pearl Elizabeth Swinton. She's a mystic and is trying to figure out how to live in the "real" world. She's uprooted from her home on a farm (Earth) and travels the world (Air) in search of answers.
Volume Three of my series "The Canyon Chronicles." Also another novel called "Rio Blanco" that takes place on a ranch in northern Colorado.
Unemployment within the Healthcare arena.
I am cowriting an urban fantasy featuring a werewolf and a mystic who is channeling a god in the African Yaruba pantheon. The fun part is that it's set in Portland, OR, one of the naturally weirdest places in the country. It's being a gas.
I have two books in process. Both are second books in a series. Jeremy and the Dragon is being followed by a second adventure for the boy and dragon. The other is a mystery series of which Death on Delivery was first, with a second tale nearly finished. I also have a zillion other things I want to write...smile
I am currently working on my third manuscript. In the process of this manuscript, I am also working on some short stories as well as two competitions. In addition to these, I am really working hard to seek representation with a reliable agent.
Put simply, it is the project of my life. Over 150 years ago, my g-g-grandfather made the perilous trek out west in the California Gold Rush in search of that golden dust. Half a century later he dictated his life story to some unidentified typist. As it turned out, this was just before he died, and the manuscript gathered a decidedly less golden dust ever since. Finally, someone in our family has come along and gotten up off his dead butt and is doing something with it.
The third in my trilogy.
My first novel. Passion Amidst A Storm.
I've been working on two books for a while. The first, Pathetic Bob's Guide to Self Help (Practical Advice from a Very Strange Dog), is near completion. The second, The Loon, (My Death and Life in a Bi-Polar World) is still a ways from being finished. I spend most of my time on short stories.
A new novel A MEASURE OF TIME set in 1964 and 1944, Suffolk, England
