NaNo 2008, a novel called Sister City
A story about an auto accident. I have another I may write, but the wound in that case still hurts to much to look at yet. So I am waiting for the puss to explode out and then I will tend to the gash that remains.
"The TrailFolk of Xunar-kun, Book Two in the Tellings of Xunar-kun Series" which should be listed in the next couple of weeks. I'm still learning about the review process, so unfortunately didn't get started early enough. Oh well, live and learn! I did get a couple of great reviews, however, and those are the ones appearing on the back of the book.
I'm also developing Book Three in the series. The storyline and characters are well on their way. I'm in the longhand note-making process.
I may be creating an audio book of Book One (Alysa of the Fields) in 2009. Not sure yet, but this would be so cool to bring the book to auditory life!
I am working on writing just for myself with no specific plans for publication in order to be able to grow my own voice and my own work for awhile.
I am also working on collaborating with other writers to create a unique erotica book series.
A new book of poems
A memoir about Growing Up With Gangsters.
I am finishing up a fiction manuscript (approx. 350 pages), along with several side projects for clients.
Part two of my published selected collection of poems,
essentially an "autobiography" but at least for now also contains excerpts
from my journal writing and essays.
and several short stories and two novels which I keep playing
hide and seek with
YGOR. It's a re-telling of the Frankenstein story told first-person by the legendary lab assistant. It's not a horror story, but a character piece which tells of the four-year, co-dependent relationship between Ygor and the doctor (who is alcoholic, bi-polar, and suffers from infrequent bouts of psychosis). It will be out in March of 2009.
My second novel, The Year of Dan Palace.
A new novel. All I will say at the moment is that the story and the characters are nothing at all like what I've done with Servicing the Pole.
I have 4 stories that I am working on.
The first one, which is about a ghost train, is almost finished, and then I have 3 others that have been started, but are waiting for me to get back to them.
I am deep into wriitng my biography. At present I have over 170 pages...and have only reached 1957. A play of mine is scheduled to open Off-B'way in the Spring...so there may be rewrites...and a new play titled The Traitorous Saint...which two Tony Award actresses are intereste in starring in.
I am working on 'monoville' which is an historical novel that revolves around the
scientific agencies that evolved in the U.S. from the original coast survey to
NASA and NOAA. Since this got up to about 750 pages I divided into two volumes, one dealing with the post gold rush and the second with the modern
My second attempt (I'll never learn!) at a novel, finished, and in dire need of editing perhaps even rewriting. It too, is a mess.
