What are you working on now?

I am at present writing a work of fiction with the title 'New Norfolk Nearby' set in the small town of New Norfolk in Tasmania (which exists today). Four bizarre murders are committed in this town with no answers but many twists as to who committed each crime. A large part of the plot includes an actual Australian asylum for the criminally insane which still exists today though has not been in use for the last few years. It is a book that takes you down a path where you don't want to put the book down. This novel will be published later this year in 2009.

I also am desirous of publishing a childrens' book and am hoping to be working this year on the contents with my sister who is an artist.

Last but not least I have a controversial work in mind set in the Northern Territory. This one will be completely different from Mr Elusive or New Norfolk Nearby.

I'm just about to start writing a Silhouette Desire that will be out in May of 2010. It's part of a six book series (mine is book 5) that takes place in San Francisco. It should be fun to write!

Answering this interview hehe. I'm about half way through a 6th book but I think I've lost interest - at least for the time being. I have a blog type thing that keeps me occupied. One way or another, I'm always writing.

A couple of magazine articles, one on treasure auras the other on finds and a new book with the working title: The Successful Treasure Hunter's Essential Guide.

I'm currently working on a police/crime novel. I have another police/crime novel, historical fiction work and Vietnam era military novel finished up and being proofed for feedback.

I'm currently finishing Book 6 of The Janna Mysteries, titled Thyme for Trust. Four have been published to date: Rosemary for Remembrance, Rue for Repentance, Lilies for Love and Willows for Weeping. I'm now looking for a publisher for Book 5, Sage for Sanctuary, as well as this last book to finish Janna's quest to find her unknown father and, with his help, avenge the death of her mother and bring a killer to justice - and also make the right decision so far as her heart and future are concerned!

I'm working on sequels to "The Perfect Gift", "Simon Says", and "Truth, Justice, and the Vampire Way"/"Blessed Be".

I have several other stories in the works, too. Did I mention I have ADHD?

LOL! I am working on a short titled Faire for Sugar & Spice as well as a novel titled Cubo. I have approximately eight others including a sequel to my first and second books and a zombie short for an anthology with S&S this Fall.
Again, check my blogspot because the line up shifts.

Novel named Koulu (The School).

Presently I am working on an epic poem about Odr, Freya's husband, and have actually been recording it as I go along. I have finished and need to do final production editing on a recording of an epic poem I have done about the early years of Frey, God of Freedom and Fertility.

I am also intensively researching the history of slavery to try to confront its corrupting presence in far too many traditions. This might be considered an offering to Frey, who releases all chains.

A collection of flash fictions called: One Upon A Time They Happily Lived Ever After. The very short stories (ranging from 6 to 100 words) are based on found images on the internet or random thoughts during my commute.

Right now I am working on a story about a man who murders people then frames others for it. He is a court reporter and "gets off" on watching others go to jail for murders he commits. The story revolves around a down and out tabloid reporter that comes accross clues that this guy exists. I won't get too far into it without telling the whole story.

ABUSE OF POWER

A Screenplay

by

Barbara LeBey

An Atlanta female judge flagrantly abuses her judicial power—this time to prevent contact between a loving father and his two teenage children in a divorce-custody dispute where he is unfairly accused of parental alienation. He battles not only the corrupt judge but his vengeful ex-wife and her unscrupulous lawyer. Some battles are worth fighting even at the risk of losing everything you’ve ever worked for.

I'm making final revisions on my novel, "The Siren of Neptune's Beach."

I am currently working on my next novel, "Adverse Reaction," which is about 30% complete and totally outlined. It is a legal thriller (what else!) involving a lawsuit against a pharmaceutical company, and draws on 3 decades of experience in this field of law. I anticipate that it will be completed within the next 4-6 months.
