WRITING
What are you working on now?
Right now I'm taking a break from writing new books to focus on promoting the ones I've already written.
Actually, I trawled through all my old files the other day to find out how many ideas I had done and how many things I'd started. Turned out that it's seventy-one novels, thirteen short stories, four anthologies, three sitcoms, two drama series, an essay, personal memoirs and a musical.
I could be so prolific if I only had the energy.
At the moment I am working on a story at Twitter. Several times the day my readers get updates. And they can read the story in progress, even I have no idea how it will end.

I have a children's book ready to go to print now. I am working on a children's chapter book that is ready for editing. I have begun a novel and I have several manuscripts for children I need to edit and get published. I think I am going to have to go into hiding to finish the novel!
A new collection of poetry. A children's book. An article about being a writer in my area.
Princes in Exile (the third of my Saxon books)
I have also started Runemaster - the 2nd in the Nine worlds children s series and begun to sketch out Today's Sacrifice another time travel story.
I'm currently working on a young adult fiction piece. It's been an adventure and I'm learning so much along the way. One of the main things I've learned is that I'm too OCD about editing instantly and it stymies creativity. It's why I got halfway through the first novel and stopped. I had polished the first half so much I was heartbroken when I realized there was a huge flaw and I'd have to go back and break things to fix them.
DONT edIT wyour WOrk until you are DONE!
IT's eating my brain to leave that there but I'm going to.
I'm working on my PhD dissertation, which is a history of a megachurch located in the Atlanta area.
I'm currently re-working my novel, 'Willow.' I'm so excited for this story and have been working on it for ages (with breaks here and there). More information about it can be found here: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17284026-willow
The Red Seven, my western revenge novel. Imagine if Tarrantino and Cormac McCarthy had a baby. It's violent, gritty and without a fuck given.
Six or seven novels. Mainly the third part to my fantasy trilogy, but also a few other original ideas that have demanded to be made into readable things.
Two screenplays. |
