What sites do you frequent on-line to share experiences or information?

I'm not great at staying with the social networking sites. I'm probably not young enough to love all that. I feel stupid, although I have a goofy myspace page based on a puppet I swiped from my Stepmom.

Until the book was published last month my published writing was largely confined to golf and travel and required no promo: the commissions were all on request. To promote the book I've discovered various web sites which offer help. Two which stand out are PRlog.com and Allvoices.com. I suspect our contact came from one of these, which proves the point.

My blog
I am Blog writer and therefore I am a paid member of Live Journal and have a lot of wonderful young people as friends that show interest in my work. They are from all over the world. Some are studying to Doctors and others are just normal people with problems and issues like myself. If I can call myself normal. My readers are a eclectic group of intelligent people of my choosing and are not afraid to tell me like it is. The difference is my friends do it a nice way. I have often told them I am proud of them and encourage them to keep up the good work. I am proud that they let me mingle with them.
I read a variety of publications, print and online, and, other than on my own web log I am not inclined to regularly share information, though I have followed a couple of sites devoted to criticism and have sometimes commented.
I write about my books in my blog http://hegro.blogspot.com/ Also, I belong to a few groups where we talk about our craft.
I am a mommy-blogger so I frequent tons of online blog sites. I also write (blog) daily about my life, feelings, the kids, things we do and so forth. Many of my articles are written through Helium.com which is a great place to share your work and make money freelancing. Writing.com is also another great place to showcase your work. I also use Facebook, e-Harlequin.com, Writerswrite.com, Orble and MySpace to name just a few.
