Do you write on a computer? Do you print frequently? Do you correct on paper? What is your process?
No, I write on paper. Unless it's commercial work, in which I then electronically write and correct it.
i mostly write on random pieces of paper or i use my cell to upload a poem thru text message to my myspace blog
Write on my Mac, edit the entire thing at one fell swoop with a red pen. Usually, out on my patio smoking a cigar with a cup of black coffee. (Yes, my teeth hate me!)
I write on a laptop. In a coffee shop. Surrounded by demons drinking coffee.
I do write on paper before typing. After typing, I would print it out and edit it before saving it again.
i write on paper then transfer to computer then edith later
I prefer to write and not to type everything on the pc. Normally I have a book for my poems and then a book for every story I plan on writing. After I have finished each chapter I start to type it onto the computer and then I also correct some of it. I'll make copies of the chapters and while reading, work on corrections in either green or red ink. When the whole book is finished I'll give myself a gap and rest. When 2 months have lapsed I revisit the story and complete the final touches and after that, it's of to the publishers.
First draft is via the trusty typewriter. It might not be able to spell but the machine works everytime. Reason is that if on pc to get an overwiew of where one's at [the plot] one has to look and see [well I do anyway] and if it were done on pc then one would have to print it out which is silly as the typewriter combines both functions. Then when the first draft is done it's onto the word processor.
Most of my entries are typed straight into the blogger website except for some poems which I could scribble on some piece of paper at random times like on the way home in the bus. I try not to draft the entries and finish it on the spot even if it could take hours; up till now my drafts remain unfinished as my trail of thoughts would have been disrupted by then.
I write on my computer. I do not correct as I go along. I keep on typing as long as the ideas come to me. When my thoughts come to a stand still, I go back and edit and spell check. 'I never print out anything unless it is to take to a writing group I belong to. After editing, I publish a proof at Lulu then edit again.
I write on the computer and I revise, revise, revise.
I write on my computer. I don't print it off until it is completed and polished and then I file it so I have a hard copy as backup.
I do write a lot on the computer. When I do, I print when I need to, and edit on paper. I find it a lot easier to edit paper copies.
I'll also write something out on paper, type it up, and then print it and edit it.
I write, read and rewrite on a computer (trying to save as many trees as possible). Whenever I get stuck, I go back a reread what I've done and often rewrite it. I only print when I want to show it to others. |
