I think we all in one way or another get inspired by others work and use that as a creative soundboard to create your own interpretations- but direct coping is just like stealing!

Yes, i don't wants to hide this reality, upto certain level most people make copying. I hate this thing but in today's fast life and work sometimes we need to do that.

Just to make it clear, my work is basically an assemblage of materials that i find and buy, some are rare & some mass produced...in other words I don't hand-forge the metal frameworks the jewels are placed on.
I try to use elements tastefully, stylistically and yet in maybe different manner in which they were intented to create something different... BUT no matter how hard I try, all i can do is create it in my own style...similiarities will always exist.
No, however everyone is influence or inspired by something that has already been created. To use that influence and create something new, now that's the challenge. Copying is not an art, anyone can do it.

I am getting very much inspired by other designers and artists and I love using elements of other designs but my own work is always unique and different from other peoples work
Yes, I think that in design sometimes you need to use code that people have already built. I always give them the credit that they deserve. Just simple abuse of coping others work is not justifiable.
Copying is not justifiable. However I think that we are all influenced by those things that we are exposed to and what we see, and we take pieces of those things with us that can carry into a design style or concept, but I find its more re-interpreting as I dont belive that a clients home should look like anyone else's, it needs to match their personality & lifestyle
We are all influenced by everyone else. It's impossible to escape that. However, direct copying is not justifiable
