What discipline do you impose on yourself regarding schedules, goals, etc.?
If I don't write first thing in the morning I usually end up not writing at all. So I simple schedule my mornings for writing only.
I must complete 6 pages a day.so before I get busy with personal things I just turn on the computer and begin writing
Normal working hours
I have no discipline, schedule, or goal at present. I write when I feel like it usually. I do not make my living from it, nor do I have to. It's nice to have just a little carrot out there to keep me interested, challenged, and going. That's the beauty of it for me. And it works for me right now.
Right now I have to find time to work on my writing. With younger children, a husband and a full time job, I need to find balance. It would be easy to lose myself in my writing but I must set limits on my time for my writing.
I don't have any. I just write when I feel like it.
I force myself to write every single day. At the same time, it may not mean it's good, and it may not mean it's for a particular purpose. I will go weeks at a time without writing a chapter for the book I'm writing, but I'll always write *something*
None whatsoever. I write when I wanna.
None really though I really wish that I could set a schedule. I would love to be able to write on my own things for a few hours each day. But I set no goals or schedules as of yet.
I am type A personality and enjoy the regimented schedule. After each goal or phase of a project is completed I treat myself to an outing with my family, colleagues and my great team at Colen Publishing.
I am bad with schedules and discipline. I am pretty good with goals though. I set goals, and work hard to meet them. I don't try to fit things in by schedule, although maybe I ought to, I tend to allow the moment to occur when it does and act spontaneously.
I can never do enough! I live life at 90 miles per hour. I go and go and go like the everready battery and then once in awhile i sleep for 12 hours because i've worn myself out!
ZERO. But when need be I do what I got to do.
to do it. Do not procrastinate! It is the worst evil.
I don't keep a strict writing schedule, but I try to write every day. My goals aren't rigid, but I actively work toward them. In a few months, my latest work will be ready for submission, but I haven't set a specific deadline. |
