Do you believe you have already found "your voice" or is that something one is always searching for?
I honestly don't really think about it much. I just write. I know some authors have a very specific voice and if the book hid their name from the cover you'd know it was their book. Like Danielle Steele for instance, I can hear her voice through her writing.
Myself, I think my voice is something that will always change depending on my mood. I think it has to do with how much emotion is put into your writing which I put a lot into my characters.
Yeah I'm not sure how to answer that one.
I've never actually thought about finding my voice. I believe that such a thing does not exist since a writer's writing style is always developing, subconsciously or not.
Yes I think so, but I also think that writing styles can change over time.
I have yet to find my voice. It's something that isn't easily attained because you have to remain current and flexible according to the times.
I've been writing for years so I hope my 'voice' is there - but you are always searching, learning and hopefully getting better at communicating your ideas and stories.
I don't know. I'm not read enough to know from feedback whether I have a recognizable voice. I do know that I'm getting far too long in the tooth to change my diction or approach any more.
I did find my voice, but I believe it can always improve.
I think you have a unique voice for every book you write. I think it has a core of you in it, but it shows different sides of you. I am always on the look out for my voice. I believe it can and should be always developing if we as writers are to progress in our own writing.
I think I have, but it needs some tweaking.
Voice changes a little with each book, each genre and as you grow as a writer, it will evolve. "My Voice" changes periodically, and I hope it never gets stagnant.
Whatever the case may be, I make sure I keep my voice and be consistent in any story. I have found my voice.
I do believe I have found my voice, but I also think voice is something that becomes more developed the more you write. Just as one grows with their work, one's voice will become stronger and more authoritative.
I think I've found it for my narrative nonfiction, but notice that it evolves along with me. My fiction voice is new and developing, but I suspect will be different with new projects.
