Do you participate in competitions? Have you received any awards?
I don't.
Competitions were something I did when I first started out in songwriting.
I placed third in an International Songwriting Contest the piece entered was "Guide Me".
I used to enter the odd competition here and there and won $100 once in some regional prize, but all-in-all competitions foster mediocrity by attempting to establish some sort of creative mean. My country's famous (or infamous) Archibald Arts Prize is a perfect example.
No and no. Writing isn't a competitive sport.,
I've participated in a few competitions here and there. I took 2nd place in a small essay contest sponsored by the Modern Woodmen of America. In 2008 I won the National Writers Association's scholarship contest, which earned me a correspondence course with the National Writers School. The biggest contest I've entered so far was the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award. in 2009 I only made it through 1 round but in 2010 my YA novel, the Jericho Effect, made it to the quarterfinals, a fact of which I am very proud.
Not as of yet. I am interested, though. I think a book wanted to publish one of my poems in it, but I declined.
I am too shy to participate in competitions.
I have never received any awards. Some consolation prizes..yes!
But I wonder who calls them 'consolation' prizes. They make you feel 'wretched' :-)

Yes, I used to. One of my scripts got as far as the quarter-finals of the Screenwriting Expo 2007.
No I don't compete and have not won any awards, except self-love.
I only ever participated in one competition: a poetry competition as a child which I saw advertised in a newspaper. It was one of those rip off competitions where they tell you you've won and will be published but you have to buy the book!
