Does reader feed-back help you?

Whohub

Absolutely. I'm not always the best judge of what I've written. I like feedback; all feedback, even if someone says it very bad, or they hated it, or they think I'm a lousey writer. My first question (even if the feedback is obscenely positive) is always: WHY? I learn something from every comment and that helps me become a better writer.

Sometimes.

Reader feed back is essential, I encourage it. In fact I am asking that readers of Blood on His Hands find my fan page in Facebook and write a review under the Review column. The first two hundred reviews will will win a copy of my next novel, currently under wraps.

Reader feedback does help! I joined a small local writers' group and we meet monthly to read and critique each other's writings; we've all become good friends and we know each other's writing styles and personality so it's always fun to find out what is going on inside our heads! I also recently registered with a writing website called YourWritingWorkshop.com and uploaded one of my poems and one of my short stories and began getting feedback on them the very same day. But dealing with strangers is both fun and intimidating because they're not always as tactful as your friends.

Yes it does. It gives me more energy to keep writing. If people take the time to read and comment on my writings and makes me smile :)

yes.

Yes, i love to here the critics...i honestly love to hear the critisim....to here whats wrong or what majority thinks and how i can inprove...being a writter u have to accept critisim or u just wont make it

Absolutely! I couldn't have gotten my novel polished without the help of family, friends, and critiquers. They are wonderful and see things that make me say, duhhh.

No, not always. It depends who it is and what they are responding to in the text. Sometimes people miss the point.

When the audience laughs or claps, I know I wrote the right thing.

Begrudgingly, yes.

Yes

Absolutely! My wife of 45 years is my first and best critic. A good editor can be brutally frank but save your life!

Yes.
